We complain about the cold.
We complain about the heat.
We complain when we have too much going on.
We complain when we have not enough going on.
There's a reason why we need to go through seasons and cycles and ups and downs.
Happiness is not a state of perpetual bliss. It's the confidence that every winter will give way to summer, that a peak will follow every valley.
Happiness is the default state to which we return after elation and after sorrow, after pleasure and after pain. Happiness comes from knowing that we are traveling the path we are meant to travel, and that we are on course to arrive at the destination that has been prepared for us.
