Fighting Flat-Earth Mentality
Did you know that more and more people are returning to the belief that the earth is flat? In a recent video, Neil deGrasse Tyson debunks the whole idea, blaming internet misinformation and declining standards in science education on the renewed popularity of the myth.
It's fine to have opinions. But ethics requires us to make sure that our opinions are backed up by facts, and that requires us to keep open lines of communication and to accept that ultimately we are accountable for both our beliefs and opinions.
