Do you worry about the economy? Maybe you should. But maybe not the way you think you should.
Researchers have found that in times of recession, mortality rates don’t rise, they drop. This means that when the economy gets worse people tend to live longer, even though logic and intuition would tell us just the opposite.
No one is sure why this is. But there are some theories that offer insights into work-life balance, engagement, and the practical benefits of an ethical approach to how we work and how we relate to work.
